The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a warning for moderate to heavy rains across several regions of Kenya starting Tuesday this week until Monday next week. Residents in affected areas are urged to take necessary precautions due to potential flooding.

• Affected regions include the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, Western Kenya, South-eastern Lowlands, and the Rift Valley region.
• Counties such as Nairobi, Kisumu, Nakuru, Kitui, and Taita Taveta are among those expected to experience significant rainfall.
• Concurrently, daytime temperatures will soar above 30°C in Coastal, North-eastern, and North-western regions, while night-time temperatures will drop below 10°C in the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and areas near Mt. Kilimanjaro.
