Samsung has begun rolling out the One UI 8 (Android 16) update to Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33, and Galaxy Tab S10 Lite devices in Kenya and across East Africa, marking a significant software upgrade for 2025.

• The update includes the September 2025 security patch and a variety of new features aimed at boosting productivity, security, and the overall user experience.
• Key improvements in One UI 8 include smarter productivity tools like direct stock price checks on the lock screen, enhanced multitasking with a revamped split-screen mode, and upgraded Reminders and Calendar functionalities.
• Users can also expect refinements in Samsung Health with personalized coaching and deeper health metrics, camera and audio controls, and enhanced security via Knox Matrix and Secure Folder.
• The rollout is staged and is also reaching users in Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda; users can manually check for the update via their device settings.
