Doctors from Sreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Hospital in Kerala, India, have arrived in Kenya to pay their final respects to the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who recently passed away at 80 years old while receiving medical treatment in Kerala State.

• Rosemary Odinga, Raila's daughter, accompanied the doctors and had previously sought Ayurvedic treatment in India for optic atrophy, resulting in restored vision by 2022.
• The medical team was received by Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Sherrif Nassir, who praised Raila's legacy of courage and commitment to justice.
• Raila himself underwent Ayurveda therapy for conditions including high blood pressure, chronic kidney disease, and diabetes, which he attributed to injuries sustained during his political career.
