The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced the appointment of 23 new assistant directors across various departments in Kenya, following a competitive recruitment drive that began on July 29, 2025.

• These appointments aim to strengthen the SHA's operational capacity and enhance healthcare access for Kenyans, according to Abdi Mohamed, chairperson of the SHA board.
• Among the key appointments are Rose Nakhungu Nandasaba as Assistant Director, Legal Services, and Adow Osman Ahmed as Assistant Director, Registration and Compliance. Other directorates like Planning and Linkages, Benefits Management, Fund Management, Finance and Accounts, Administration, Human Resource Management and Customer Experiences, and Internal Audit also received new assistant directors.
• This move by the SHA follows earlier appointments on October 9, 2025, which saw 16 new Deputy Directors and 9 Principal Claims Management Officers join the authority.
