The High Court has halted a Ksh. 166,295,500 payment from the Kiambu County Government to Filtronic International Limited following allegations of a fraudulent ERP system tender award. The injunction, sought by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), will remain in effect for 14 days.
- The outstanding payment is the balance of a Ksh. 230 million contract for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Filtronic International Limited, along with six individuals including county officials, are accused by the EACC of fraud, forgery, and conspiracy regarding the tender.
- The EACC alleges the company used forged financial statements and fake CVs, and that a one-year contract extension was illegally approved in February 2024 after the original contract lapsed in November 2023.
- Filtronic International Limited has already received Ksh. 63,704,500, which the EACC seeks to have refunded as proceeds of corruption.
- The case will proceed to a further hearing on November 13, 2025.
