The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is investigating violent incidents, including two deaths, in Kasipul Constituency ahead of the November 27 by-elections. This follows a confrontation where three Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers were injured during a raid to arrest suspects linked to the killings.

• IEBC Chairperson Edung Ethekon condemned the violence and formed a Code of Conduct Enforcement Committee, starting hearings on Monday.
• The DCI Officers were attacked by a mob of more than 100 youths at the home of former Kasipul MP Ong’odo Were.
• Police, led by Homa Bay County Police Commander Lawrence Koilem, are actively searching for the escaped suspect and others involved in the assault and murders.
