The final leg of the National Boxing League in Kisumu is set to feature intense competition in the bantamweight (54kg) and light heavyweight (81kg) categories, with rival boxers from Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and Kenya Police battling for national titles and spots on the national team.

Two highly competitive weight categories, bantamweight and light heavyweight, will be the focus in Kisumu.
Rivalries include Hassan Shaffi Bakari (Police) vs. Dennis Muthama (KDF) in bantamweight, and Humphrey Ochieng’ (Police) vs. Robert Okaka (KDF) in light heavyweight.
The Kisumu championships will also be used to select the national boxing team for the Elite World Men Boxing Championships in Dubai from December 2-13.
