A Nairobi court has granted the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) seven days to detain Joshua Mutui Muimi, an alleged Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) imposter, to complete investigations into his alleged fake recruitment scheme.

Muimi was arrested in Kilimani for allegedly defrauding aspiring recruits with fake enlistment opportunities.
Detectives found Muimi dressed in Kenya Air Force regalia and uncovered incriminating materials including documents with the Ministry of Defence logo and six fake admission letters.
The DCI urges Nigerians to avoid shortcuts in recruitment and report suspicious approaches to the DCI hotline: toll-free 0800 722 203 or WhatsApp 0709 570 000.
