• The SHA refunds come amidst demands from Governors for reforms in the health sector, with the Council of Governors (CoG) criticizing delayed disbursements and Kenya shillings 32 billion in hospital debts.
• SHA premiums are mandatory 2.75 percent contributions from household income, with a minimum of Kenya shillings 300 for employed individuals.
