The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) has accused Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Vice Chairperson Fahima Araphat Abdallah of interfering in the upcoming Magarini Constituency by-election scheduled for November 27, 2025. DCP party leader Rigathi Gachaglia sent a letter to IEBC chairperson Erastus Edung Ethekon, alleging intimidation of election officials and discussions with Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro to influence the poll.

• DCP alleges that Abdallah travelled to Magarini on November 21, 2025, to intimidate election officials and sought a list of presiding officers.
• Abdallah is accused of holding a meeting with Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro in Malindi to discuss influencing the by-election.
• DCP demands an immediate investigation into Abdallah’s conduct, her suspension, and the replacement of all presiding officers in Magarini.
