President William Ruto has launched a transformative initiative to support minority communities in Kenya, including a Ksh.500 million annual scholarship program and significant investments in education and infrastructure.

A Ksh.500 million annual National Minority Scholarship Programme will provide education access for children from indigent minority and marginalized communities.
The Ministry of Education will allocate Ksh.200 million annually for an Education Infrastructure Fund in minority and marginalized areas.
The initiative is part of the newly-launched National Policy on Ethnic Minorities, Indigenous and Marginalised Communities (2025-2035).
A Minorities and Marginalised Communities Directorate will be established within the Office of the President to coordinate implementation.
The Attorney-General will draft legislation to establish a National Council for Ethnic Minorities and Marginalised Communities.
