The Ministry of Education has released the Grade 10 placements for candidates who sat the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) 2025. Parents can check placements via SMS to 22263 or the ministry's portal, placements.education.go.ke, with learners expected to report to senior secondary schools by Monday, January 12, 2026.
- A total of 1,130,459 learners sat the 2025 KJSEA, comprising 578,630 male and 551,829 female students.
- The placement process was fully automated, considering learners’ choices, KJSEA performance, psychometric test results, equity considerations, and school capacity.
The Ministry also announced that parents can request school changes through junior school heads at least two weeks before the reporting date, provided senior schools declare vacancies.
