This review period, starting on Tuesday, December 23, aims to address concerns regarding limited slots in popular schools, communication issues, and discrepancies between selected pathways and assessment outcomes.

Concerns stemmed from high competition, communication misalignment, and variances between selected pathways and assessment outcomes, according to Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok.
The inaugural KJSEA examinations were conducted in November, with results released on December 11, 2025.
The Competency-Based Education (CBE) system assigns assessment weights: 40% from KPSEA (Grade 6), 20% from continuous assessments (Grades 7 and 8), and 60% from KJSEA (Grade 9).
