Police in Matuu, Yatta, and Tawa are investigating the suspected carjacking and murder of a 26-year-old lorry driver whose body was found dumped in Kasyelia village, Mbooni Sub-county. The driver was transporting 259 bags of cement when his vehicle was diverted and he subsequently went missing.

• The driver was transporting 259 bags of cement from Simba Cement Factory in Athi River.
• The lorry, registration number KDR 422F, was found abandoned at Kithuia shopping centre, while the driver's body was discovered with visible physical injuries, hands tied, and a rope around his neck and forehead.
• Matuu OCS Stanley Wanjala confirmed that investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances and identify those responsible.
