President William Ruto announced that the Kenyan government will provide a Ksh6,000 monthly stipend for six months to 90,000 youths undergoing on-the-job training. This initiative aims to boost skill development and economic potential among young people.

90,000 youths will receive a Ksh6,000 monthly stipend for six months while attached to master craftsmen for skill transfer.
The government will also cover certification costs and pay master craftsmen involved in the training.
Additionally, 600,000 persons with disabilities will receive training for procurement opportunities and 20,000 youths in the NYOTA programme will get certification funding to aid employment.
Ksh250 million has already been disbursed to 9,500 young people from six counties through the NYOTA programme, with each beneficiary receiving Ksh22,000 for enterprises and an additional Ksh3,000 to their savings.
