A Location Chief and a primary school teacher were killed in a suspected Al-Shabaab attack in Hulugho town, Garissa County, on Monday morning. The militants also attacked the local police station but caused no injuries there.

Two individuals, Boma Location Chief Abdifatah Mohamud and teacher Stephen Vundi Musili, died from gunshot wounds.
The attackers first invaded the chief's residence, shooting him and detonating an explosive device on his vehicle.
The incident occurred in Hulugho, a region near the Kenya-Somalia border frequently targeted by Al-Shabaab.
