The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall in four regions across Kenya this weekend, despite most areas experiencing sunny and dry conditions. This weather advisory, spanning from Friday, February 6 to Tuesday, February 10, highlights potential showers and colder nights in specific areas.

• Central Kenya, Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the South-Eastern lowlands are expected to receive showers.
• The Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley are predicted to have showers and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoons and evenings.
• Night temperatures in Central Kenya, specifically Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, and Nairobi counties, are expected to drop to between 6°C and 8°C.
• Counties such as Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Kisii, and Kakamega will also experience cold nights, with temperatures as low as 8°C.
• Most other regions, including the North-Eastern counties and parts of the Coast, will remain largely sunny and dry.
