President William Ruto has pledged Ksh 1 million to each of the viral sensations, Majembe and Mbavu the Destroyer, ahead of their highly anticipated boxing match scheduled for April 4, 2026, in Nairobi.

• Additionally, President Ruto will sponsor 2,000 tickets for fans to attend the fight.
• The pledge was revealed during an interaction with Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalang’o.
• The bout, which started as online banter, is being organized by comedian and media personality Oga Obinna.
