The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting rainfall and thunderstorms across various regions of Kenya this week, with Nairobi and Kiambu among the areas expecting showers. While many parts of the country will experience rain, other regions are set to remain dry and sunny.

• Rainfall is expected in regions including Western, the Rift Valley, Eastern, and the Lake Victoria Basin between Tuesday, February 10, and Saturday, February 14.
• Major towns like Kisumu, Kakamega, Kericho, Nairobi, and Kiambu are likely to receive rain.
• Counties such as Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, and others will experience daylong rains and thunderstorms, with maximum temperatures reaching 32°C and minimums at 09°C.
• Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi counties are forecast to receive afternoon and Saturday night showers, with temperatures peaking at 32°C during the day and dropping to 8°C at night.
• Coastal and far northern counties like Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, Kwale, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Isiolo, Turkana, and Samburu are expected to remain mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching up to 38°C.
