Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has been removed from the ODM party National Election Committee (NEC), a decision he confirmed on Wednesday, February 11, following widespread letters on social media.

• Amisi claims his removal was due to holding two party positions: county chair and ODM Deputy Organising Secretary.
• He argues the removal was not procedural, stating that NEC must meet, agree or vote, and grant a right to reply before ousting a member.
• Amisi states he became Deputy Organising Secretary at the request of Raila Odinga, and his appointment was approved by the same committee, despite already being a county chairperson.
