• Rains in Central Kenya and Nairobi are anticipated between the second and third weeks of March.
• The South Eastern Lowlands, including Kajiado and Machakos, expect rainfall from the third to fourth weeks of March.
• Rift Valley and Lake Victoria Basin counties, such as Kisumu and Nakuru, saw rains start in mid-February.
• The ongoing dry conditions have led to water and pasture shortages, particularly in Northern counties, and an increase in wildfires.
