The State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy has announced the final deadline for applications to the NYOTA Project's On-the-Job Experience (OJE) component, urging thousands of young Kenyans to register before time runs out. Youth aged 18 to 29 (or up to 35 for Persons with Disabilities) with Form 4 education or below can apply by dialing *254#.

• The OJE program aims to attach 90,000 youth for six months, providing practical skills and a monthly stipend of Ksh 6,000.
• The NYOTA Project is a Ksh5 billion investment, funded with the World Bank, targeting 820,000 vulnerable youth across all 47 counties over five years.
• President William Ruto has been overseeing the program's rollout since early 2026, including distributing Ksh63 million to youth in Mandera and Garissa Counties.
