The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has officially appointed Luka Kipchumba Kimeli as its substantive Director General, effective February 17, 2026, following a competitive and transparent recruitment process.

• Luka Kimeli, a seasoned civil engineer with 27 years of experience, has been serving in an acting capacity since July 2025.
• The new Director General will oversee KeNHA's critical role in planning, developing, and maintaining Kenya's national highway network.
• KeNHA plans to invest Sh394 billion over the next five years in highway construction and rehabilitation, complementing the government’s allocation of Sh175.6 billion for road infrastructure in the 2025–26 financial year.
