The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a warning for moderate to heavy rainfall across various parts of Kenya from Friday to Monday, February 23. Both Nairobi and Kisumu are among the areas expected to experience significant downpours.

• Affected regions include the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, parts of the South-eastern Lowlands, and the Coast.
• The Kenya Meteorological Department is the organization issuing the advisory.
• Counties such as Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Nairobi, Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, and Uasin Gishu are predicted to receive heavy rain and thunderstorms.
• The Northern counties of Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo are expected to remain sunny and dry for the next five days.
