• A patient, Ali Kibwana, reportedly died after treatment was allegedly delayed despite a payment of over Sh100,000 due to demands for full bill clearance before surgery.
• Key figures include Dr Iqbal Khandwalla, the suspended Chief Administrator, and Mvita MP Mohammed Machele, who issued an ultimatum to Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir.
• The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) has condemned the suspension as unfair political interference, while the hospital faces allegations of an acute staff shortage and failing to submit financial statements for three years.
