A Mombasa-based NGO, the Centre for Litigation and Trust, is seeking an investigation into a senior police officer over allegations of ordering a custom-made police uniform, a violation of service regulations.

• The NGO alleges Mr Samuel Kariuki, a former deputy officer commanding Changamwe police station, paid Sh4,200 to a tailor for the uniform.
• The organization also claims Mr Kariuki framed the tailor, Mr Mark Onyango Otweyo, with false charges to cover his misconduct.
• The NGO has filed court documents targeting the Inspector General of Police, Director of Public Prosecutions, and the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (Ipoa).
