Kirinyaga County has launched a comprehensive digital land mapping and geo-referencing exercise to bring order to urban areas and resolve land disputes.

• The initiative aims to strengthen planning and revenue systems while ensuring proper ownership and documentation of all plots.
• Governor Anne Waiguru is overseeing the phased rollout, which has already commenced in Kutus and Kagio towns.
• This exercise is part of efforts to safeguard public land, following the repossession of over 800 acres valued at approximately Ksh.1 billion in recent years.
