The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has committed to a significant environmental reforestation effort as part of the Rironi–Mau Summit Highway expansion.

• KeNHA will plant four trees for every one removed during the highway's dualisation.
• The project involves upgrading a 175-kilometre stretch of highway.
