Kenya's electoral agency, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), has issued a strong warning to politicians against engaging in violence and premature campaigning as the country gears up for the 2027 general election. Members of the ruling Kenya Kwanza Coalition and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will convene for a joint Parliamentary Group meeting on Tuesday to receive a broadband-based agenda. A petition has been filed before the National Assembly challenging the suitability of Dr Abdilahi Alawy Saggaf to serve as Chairperson of the National Land Commission.
