The Emurua Dikir by-election is set to cost taxpayers an estimated Sh59 million, according to documents submitted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to Parliament.
- The IEBC has requested Sh59,375,491 for the by-election in the supplementary budget II for the 2025/26 financial year.
- The electoral agency, represented by acting CEO Moses Sunkuli, is awaiting a writ from Speaker Moses Wetang’ula before officially including the budget.
