The passing of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Johana Ng'eno, has triggered a rare parliamentary process to formally close his Hansard record and honor his service.

• The National Assembly Standing Order 259D mandates Speaker-led tributes, which are then compiled and presented to the bereaved family by the Clerk of the National Assembly.
• An ad hoc committee, chaired by Tinderet MP Julius Melly, was formed to assist the family with funeral arrangements and related support.
• Following the burial, the committee and Parliamentary Service Commission officers facilitate the collection of the deceased MP's belongings and ensure the family accesses any applicable group life insurance benefits.
