Two people were killed and 11 others were injured in a tragic head-on collision between a lorry and a matatu on the Bomet–Kisii highway.

• Two fatalities: the matatu driver and one passenger died instantly.
• Involved parties: Quarser Shuttle Company matatu and a lorry that veered off the road.
• Injured individuals include two children, aged two and eight, with fractures. The lorry driver fled the scene and is being sought by police.
