India has donated military hardware and medical equipment to the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) during a visit by the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Trikand to Mombasa Port.

• Handover included 100 INSAS rifles, 50,000 rounds of ammunition, and a 1.5 Tesla MRI machine.
• Key figures involved: Vice Admiral K. Swaminathan (Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of India’s Western Naval Command), General Charles Kahariri (Kenya’s Chief of the Defence Forces), and Adarsh Swaika (High Commissioner to Kenya).
• The donation is part of India's MAHASAGAR initiative, strengthening bilateral defence and maritime partnerships and promoting regional security.
