The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has provided crucial clarifications regarding the 2026 university and college application process, aiming to assist thousands of students facing placement challenges.

KUCCPS CEO Agnes Wahome emphasized that final placement decisions will be based on cluster points and weights, course baskets, and institutional capacity, not solely on displayed cut-off points.
Students are advised to fully utilize all six application choices to maximize their chances of placement.
A free second revision process will be conducted via SMS for those not initially placed, requiring applicants to use their original Ksh1,500 payment code.
KUCCPS also issued a warning against sharing portal passwords to prevent fraud and account tampering.
