Kenya has signed two technical assistance agreements with France's development agency, Agence Française de Développement (AFD), totaling Ksh227 million, to boost water infrastructure and clean energy development.
- The agreements include Euro 800,000 (about Ksh121 million) for the Tana Cascade Masinga Dam Raising Project and Euro 700,000 (about Ksh106 million) to strengthen water service providers in Kisumu and Eldoret.
- The deals were co-signed by Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi.
- This follows French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Kenya for the Africa Forward Summit, where several other agreements were signed.
