Kenya's Ministry of Health is on high alert following an Ebola outbreak in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo and confirmed cases in Uganda.

• Africa CDC reported 246 cases and 80 deaths in DR Congo's Ituri province.
• The Kenyan Ministry of Health, led by Health Director General Dr. Patrick Amoth, has established a National Ebola Preparedness Team and is enhancing surveillance.
• The country has not recorded any Ebola cases as of May 16th, and the overall risk is considered low.
