Kenya has intensified traveller screening and surveillance at all entry points to prevent the importation of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), currently affecting parts of the DRC and Uganda.

• Over 34,500 travellers have been screened as of May 18, 2026.
• The heightened measures are led by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and coordinated with regional and international health bodies like the WHO and Africa CDC.
