An angry crowd set fire to tents used as isolation wards at a hospital in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo after being prevented from taking the body of a suspected Ebola victim for burial.

• 177 people are thought to have died from Ebola in DR Congo, out of 750 suspected cases.
• Medical workers at Rwampara General Hospital were placed under military protection.
• The outbreak is caused by a rare species of Ebola known as Bundibugyo, for which there is no vaccine.
