Nairobi Water has announced a temporary disruption to water supply affecting 17 areas, including Westlands, Karen, and Lang’ata, due to a major pipeline leak.
- The leak was detected on the NCT Fresh Water Pipeline at Riabai, near Kirigiti in Kiambu County.
- Affected areas include Westlands, Kilimani, Lavington, Upper Hill, Ngong Road, Madaraka, Lang’ata, Kibera, Karen, Uthiru, Kawangware, Kangemi, Ruai, Ngundu, Kamulu, and customers served by MAVWASCO and Oloolaiser Water Company.
- Water supply is expected to resume progressively by Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., following the completion of urgent repair works.
