The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) will soon announce timelines for enforcing new safety rules for school buses, including reflectorised stop-sign arms and telematics systems.

• NTSA is deferring enforcement of Rule 13 (stop-sign arms) and Rule 14 (telematics) for school transport vehicles.
• Inspections of school transport vehicles will continue to ensure roadworthiness and valid inspection stickers.
• The announcement comes as part of broader road safety reforms, including annual inspections for vehicles older than four years starting July 1.
