A group of Kajiado county bishops has petitioned the state to address the alarming rise in killings and abductions of young men. They called for sobriety leading up to the general election and urged both government and opposition to practice tolerance.

• The church leaders specifically called on the government to cease the abduction and killing of youth who disagree with its policies.
• Led by Dr Bishop Oguncha of Global Spring of Life Church and Bishop David Kituku, the clergy voiced concerns during a pastor ordination ceremony.
• They appealed to the youth not to be used negatively by politicians and emphasized the importance of protecting the country for future generations.
