Amref International University (AMIU) is planning to establish the Beyond Zero Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital as a teaching facility to enhance training for healthcare professionals and improve maternal and child health services across Africa.

• The new hospital will be developed in partnership with the Beyond Zero Initiative, formerly under the patronage of former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
• The announcement was made by Sheila Khama, Chairperson of the International Board of Directors for Amref Health Africa, during AMIU’s seventh graduation ceremony where 530 graduands received their awards.
• This initiative aligns with AMIU's strategy to build sustainable healthcare capacity and address Africa's unique healthcare challenges.
