Authorities at Moi International Airport in Mombasa intercepted a 67-year-old man attempting to travel to Dubai after swallowing 44 pellets of cocaine.

• The man was found to have swallowed 44 cocaine pellets, which were medically recovered.
• The interception was carried out by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Anti-Narcotics Unit and airport security.
• This incident is part of a larger operation that has recovered drugs worth approximately Sh151 million and led to the arrest of 27 suspects, including alleged drug barons.
