KUPPET Teachers in Kitui Protest Murder of Two Teachers - July 2026

Teachers affiliated with the Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) staged a protest in Mutitu, Kitui East Constituency, condemning the recent murders of two teachers. Teachers from Kitui demonstrated to demand justice for the slain educators. Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for a suspect in Kiambu after labourers were killed. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has issued a stern warning against politicians and individuals funding criminal gangs whose activities disrupt peace and security in Kenya.
