- The CoG asserts that delays in implementing doctors' Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) are due to a year-long wait for a payroll code from the Ministry of Public Service, not financial constraints by counties.
- Abdullahi also accused the Ministry of Health of failing to honor agreements on funding and implementation of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program, leading to ongoing UHC worker strikes.
- The CoG stated counties have no dispute with the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) and will begin paying doctors CBA rates in August.
