Kenya Aviation Workers Union (KAWU) has suspended its nationwide strike scheduled to begin July 28, averting major disruptions for passengers and airlines.

• A framework agreement was signed between KAWU, the Ministry of Roads and Transport, Kenya Airways (KQ), Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), and Jambojet.
• The agreement paves the way for structured negotiations over workers' grievances, including job security and unfair dismissals, spanning the next month.
• KAWU Secretary-General Moss Ndiema confirmed the strike suspension, stating, "there is no anticipation for any disruptions whatsoever arising from the intended strike action."
