- Petitioners argue that KRA has failed to disclose procurement records and statutory approvals for the system.
- The ACD Platform, launched on August 3, requires participants in the shipping and logistics chain to obtain an ACD reference code for containerised cargo destined for Kenya.
- A separate lawsuit also alleges that the KRA's system infringes on the intellectual property of a similar system developed by technology entrepreneur Jacob Munene.
