Kenya and Qatar have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation across several key sectors, including trade, investment, and skilled labour. These agreements were reached during high-level political consultations held in Doha on August 11, 2026.

Both nations committed to increasing bilateral trade and encouraging mutual investments.
The delegations were led by Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Korir Sing’Oei for Kenya and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmad Hassan Al-Hammadi for Qatar.
Discussions also covered expanding cooperation in tourism, education, food security, civil aviation, and transportation, with a focus on exploring new opportunities for skilled Kenyan workers.
