Kenya Railways Corporation is transforming its railway networks into economic centers by establishing 11 new commercial and logistic hubs. This initiative aims to stimulate commercial activity and improve logistics along both the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) and Meter Gauge Railway (MGR) corridors.

The 11 towns targeted include Voi, Konza, Athi River, Bomet, Nyamira, Malaba, Taveta, Nakuru, and Eldoret.
