The Kenyan government has launched a series of initiatives aimed at transforming Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) into a premier regional aviation hub.

• The comprehensive modernization program involves upgrades totaling Sh154.2 billion to enhance passenger processing, security, and operational efficiency.
• Key measures include the deployment of the Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS) and the forthcoming Advanced Passenger Registration (APR) system.
• A new terminal is under construction, projected to increase the airport's annual passenger capacity by approximately 10 million.
